So now that Book 4 is off with the beta readers, I’ve pivoted toward going through the process of creating a physical version of books 1-3 (and eventually 4) of the Nibiru Rising series. It’s something I’ve been meaning to do for over three years now, but due to reasons, it just never happened. But today, I’ve started doing the typesetting/formatting to create the physical versions.
Now that I’ve started to get back into the swing of things, writing/publishing-wise, I’m starting to put together everything I’ve been putting off for so long. Within the next two to three months, I fully plan to have the following things done:
- Book 4 of the Nibiru Rising series to be published
- Physical versions of books 1-4 of the series to be published
- An omnibus edition of books 1-3 of the Nibiru Rising series to be published
- A virtual store added to the site (currently developing coffee mugs and other merchandise for sale.)
- A monthly newsletter (this is one of my stretch goals)
- Possibly the first book of another project I was working on (Wellspring Chronicles)
- Work to have started on books 5-7 of the Nibiru Rising series
- Lead magnet created to entice people to sign up for the newsletter (once it’s finished, I’ll send it out to all the people who’ve already signed up for the newsletter)
So yeah, I’ve got a lot on my plate. But it’s all stuff that really should have been done a long time ago. Somewhere in that mix, I’m hoping to get some marketing materials created for when I go to different events to sell my stuff. Mostly just a table curtain (not sure what they’re actually called, but it’s the bit that hangs in front of your display table. Table banner, maybe?
Sure, I might miss the mark on some of these things, but I have significantly more motivation to get them done than I’ve had over the past three years as well. I can actually say that, within the past four months, I’ve accomplished at least a third of the things on my list that I’ve wanted to accomplish over the past three years, due mostly to addressing the root cause of my depression, so I’m pretty confident I’ll be able to accomplish the above list within the next three to four months.
As a final note, within the next couple days, I’m going to be updating the cover and title of book two in the Nibiru Rising Series. I’m changing it from Stormfront (a title I was never really satisfied with) to Turbulence, which fits both the book and the series naming convention significantly better.
